Purpose
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of our Site of the following:
The personal data we collect;
Use of collected data;
Who has access to the data collected;
The rights of Site users; and
The Site's cookie policy.
This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the terms and conditions of our Site.
Consent
By using our Site, users agree that they consent to: (1) the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy; and (2) the collection, use, and retention of the data listed in this Privacy Policy.
Personal Data We Collect
We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.
Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way — we may collect the following when you subscribe or contact us:
First and last name;
Email address; and
Payment information.
This data is collected when you: (1) subscribe to a Cultivated Content plan; or (2) submit a form on our Site (e.g. our Contact Us form).
How We Use Personal Data
Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. The data we collect may be used for the following purposes:
Delivering your subscription content (your monthly article, social media captions, and Canva link) to you by email;
Communication, including responding to enquiries; and
Payment collection and subscription management.
Who We Share Personal Data With
Employees — we may disclose user data to any member of our organisation who reasonably needs access to it to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Third Parties — we may share user data with:
Stripe — used to process payment information for subscriptions.
Kit (ConvertKit) — our email service provider. Kit stores your name and email address, manages your subscription status, and delivers your monthly content by email.
Google — your monthly content is delivered via a Google Drive folder link. Google does not receive your personal data directly from us beyond what is needed to generate that link.
Third parties will not be able to access user data beyond what is reasonably necessary to achieve the given purpose.
Other Disclosures — we will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except: if the law requires it; if required for legal proceedings; to prove or protect our legal rights; or to buyers or potential buyers of this company if we seek to sell it.
If you follow hyperlinks from our Site to another site, we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.
How Long We Store Personal Data
User data will be stored until the purpose it was collected for has been achieved, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion, whichever comes first. You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
We implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. While we take all reasonable precautions, the internet is never 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, it will be deleted as soon as possible. A parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer if a child under 16 has provided us with personal data.
How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected
If you would like to know what personal data we hold about you, how it's been used, or if you would like it deleted or corrected, contact our privacy officer at cultivatedcontentaus@gmail.com.
How to Opt-Out of Data Collection, Use, or Disclosure
Opt out of email content: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or contact us directly.
Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small file stored on a user's device by a website, used to collect data on browsing habits. You can disable cookies in your browser, though this may affect your experience of the Site.
We use the following types of cookies:
Functional cookies — remember your selections on our Site for future visits.
Analytical cookies — help us understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve it.
Third-party cookies, including Stripe (for processing payments) and Kit / ConvertKit (which may use tracking pixels to record email opens and link clicks in the emails we send you).
Additional Clauses
The content you receive as a subscriber (your article, social captions, and Canva files) is licensed for use by your business only, for your own patients and followers. It may not be shared, forwarded, resold, or used by any other business.
All content is written to align with the advertising guidelines of your profession's regulatory authority. However, under those guidelines, the practitioner or business publishing the content is always responsible for it, regardless of who wrote it. You are responsible for what is published under your name — including if you edit the content, add claims, or convert it into other formats such as reels, carousels, or videos. Adding your own logo, colours, or fonts does not change this.
This content is general health information, not individual clinical advice.
Modifications
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time to maintain legal compliance and reflect changes to our data practices. The "Effective Date" above will be updated accordingly. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
